Carrie is a Clinical Registered Counsellor with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), holding a Master of Counselling (Couples) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling. With over five years of clinical experience, she has a particular interest in working with couples and relationships, while also supporting individuals, adolescents, and families through life's challenges.

In addition to her Master's training, Carrie has completed specialist professional training in Integrative Couple Therapy through Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV), as well as the PREPARE/ENRICH premarital counselling program. She has extensive experience supporting couples from diverse cultural backgrounds, particularly bilingual and intercultural relationships. Carrie understands the unique challenges that can arise from differences in communication styles, cultural values, family expectations, migration experiences, and intergenerational influences. She works collaboratively with couples to strengthen emotional connection, improve communication, and foster secure, respectful, and fulfilling relationships.

Alongside her relationship work, Carrie provides counselling for adults, adolescents (12+), and families experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, grief, life transitions, family conflict, and relationship difficulties. Prior to working in private practice, she spent three years supporting young people aged 12–24, helping them navigate emotional, developmental, and social challenges.

Carrie's practice is grounded in evidence-based and attachment-informed approaches, integrating Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), attachment-based interventions, person-centred therapy, and mindfulness-based strategies. She is MARAM-trained and provides trauma-informed counselling for individuals, couples, and families, including those affected by family violence. Her therapeutic approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each client's unique needs, with a focus on building emotional resilience, strengthening relationships, and supporting meaningful, lasting change.

Fluent in both English and Mandarin, Carrie offers counselling in both languages and has a special interest in supporting Asian, multicultural, and intercultural individuals, couples, and families. She is committed to providing a culturally responsive, inclusive, and non-judgmental therapeutic space where clients feel understood, respected, and empowered to create positive change.
