Becky is a registered music therapist (RMT) with the Australian Music Therapy Association (AMTA). She studied a diploma in counselling and a bachelor of social work, which marked the beginning of her journey in the humanities and social sciences industry. Finally, Becky discovered her passion and niche, and she went on to complete her Master of Music Therapy at the

University of Melbourne.

Stepping into the humanities and social sciences industry since 2013, Becky has gradually realised how important it is to support her participants in reconnecting with the world in their way, holistically. She trusts that “humans always could do more than their behaviour; that's why they can change.” Additionally, she emphasises that “As a therapist, we are not a saver.

Our participant needs a chance to be ready by themselves and move forward.”

As a bilingual music therapist, Becky can conduct sessions in both English and Mandarin. She serves kids and parents,

neurodivergent people (Autism, ADHD, mental health). Music fills her entire life, and she truly understands how music can evoke a sense of belonging, love, and warmth in people. As one of the allied health professionals, music therapy offers more potential opportunities for participants to experience. Becky respects all different cultures and sexualities, and hopes to promote awareness of care and deliver kindness in public.
