What is Individual Therapy

Individual counselling focuses on your personal experiences, emotions, and concerns.

It offers an opportunity to better understand yourself, reflect on patterns that may be causing distress, and explore strategies that support emotional wellbeing and personal growth.

What Individual Counselling Can Support


Individual counselling may support you to:

  • Explore emotional difficulties, stress, or life challenges

  • Improve emotional regulation and self-understanding

  • Work through relationship or interpersonal concerns

  • Navigate life transitions, uncertainty, or decision-making

  • Build resilience, confidence, and personal growth

You do not need to have a clearly defined problem to begin therapy.

Sessions can start from where you are now.

At MindMetta, we recognise that counsellors have different areas of expertise, therapeutic approaches, and client focus.

Rather than assuming one counsellor is the right fit for everyone, we aim to thoughtfully match you with a counsellor whose experience, approach, and background best support your needs.
