Anya is an engaging, open-minded and goal-oriented therapist and life-coach. She is skilled in helping her clients identify and shape their needs and wishes into actionable and practical pathways forward, one supported step at a time until they are ready to fly. With a unique blend of warmth, intellect, and humour, Anya will help you get to know your strengths and possibilities while challenging you to cultivate hope and resilience.
As an immigrant from Russia (formerly Soviet Union) and a third-culture kid herself, Anya is particularly well-placed to help adult clients navigate the challenges of existing between worlds and to find their unique place. With qualifications in both therapeutic Counselling and Psychology, Anya's approach is grounded in her deep understanding of neuropsychology, cognitive psychology, and attachment theory, supported by her skill and experience working with a variety of clients.
Anya is particularly keen to support people who are struggling with challenges related to:
- neurodiversity, ADHD/ASD;
- family and relational conflicts;
- individuation and identity formation;
- self-confidence and self-esteem issues;
- stress, anxiety, depression;
- suicidal thoughts, self-harm, trauma;
- excessive drug and alcohol use, gambling, gaming and other behavioural challenges/addictions
Anya works with a variety of therapeutic methods as is suitable to her client needs, including coaching/education, mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Action and Commitment Therapy, and Solution-Focused approaches. She is always open to and appreciative of feedback and works to adjust her approach based on it.
Anya is fluent in both English and Russian and welcomes clients 16 years of age and above. LGBTQI+ clients are most welcome.
